What Does the Bible Say About AI?

1. Made in God's image — makers ourselves

Genesis 1:27 says God created humans in His image. Part of bearing that image is the capacity to create — to farm, build, compose, and now to build machines that learn. Tools like AI are, at their best, an extension of the creative mandate given in Genesis 1:28.

2. Wisdom over knowledge

Proverbs repeatedly draws a line between raw knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). AI can synthesize enormous amounts of information — but discernment, love, and the fear of the Lord are still ours to bring. The Bible calls us to be renewed in our minds (Romans 12:2), not outsource them.

  Ephesians 4:25 — put away falsehood. AI outputs need human verification against Scripture and reality.
